Transposition status across the EU
The EU Pay Transparency Directive binds all 27 EU member states. Each had to transpose it into national law by 7 June 2026. National rules can add detail or set earlier duties, so this page gives the EU-wide baseline and points you to the official national measures.
What applies in every EU member state
These dates come from the Directive and apply across the EU. National law may be stricter or earlier:
- By 7 June 2026 — the Directive must be transposed into national law.
- By 7 June 2027 — first gender pay gap reports for employers with 150 or more workers.
- By 7 June 2031 — first reports for employers with 100 to 149 workers.

The Directive applies to employers in each of these countries. Confirm the national implementing law for any country where you employ people:
