Average (mean) hourly pay

Median hourly pay (optional)

How the gender pay gap is calculated

The gap is the difference between men's and women's pay, shown as a percentage of men's pay: (men − women) ÷ men × 100. The Pay Transparency Directive requires employers to report both the mean and median gender pay gap. This tool gives an indicative overall figure to help you prepare; it does not produce the per-category or quartile breakdowns that formal reporting also requires.
